How did I get here?
To be completely transparent, I never thought in a million years I would be here, publishing my books, having a website - sharing my stories with the world (which is terriyfing).
I started writing back in high school when I hand wrote my first story. I later typed this up and edited it (more of a copy edit than anything) for a class I took. The support I had from my teachers to keep doing what I was doing was incredible.
After that, I had a unplanned hiatus from writing, finding other passions in crocheting, dancing and just reading. But eventually I found my way back.
This is when the Love is in the Air series was born - or the idea of it anyway. The characters took over my brain and in September 2022 I started writing the story of Tahlia and Orion.

Not too long after, I connected with an editor and the idea of actually publishing my book was becoming reality. After so much work, rewriting the entire story, a whole lot of self-doubt, my story is almost out into the world!
Throughout it all I’ve had so much support from my loving husband who I got married to during all of this in September 2024, from my family with some of them having read my book at the beta stage, and from friends and work colleagues.
But the one other that’s been with me, is my baby Catniss. I am a devoted cat mum, and Catniss has sat with me through a large chunk of the writing and editing process. When I was losing it, going to give up, or writing what I thought was the best scene, she was likely on my lap, sitting on my chair causing me to perch on the edge, or sitting across my arms making it way harder to type than it needed to be.
And now, here I am. About to self-publish my first book, not really knowing what I’m doing, faking it until I make it. But I couldn’t be any more excited or scared to bring my stories into the world.
I hope you find some joy in my stories, a way to connect to them or just are able to read them, to disconnect from the world, and be you.
